I got the chance to work on a feature film in May 2020. Directed by Kent Flaagan, 2 Finns on a Fish is the story of two Irish brothers who get swept up in a turf war between Russian and Italian gangsters. Set in Kansas City, the humorous romp features both likeable characters and witty dialogue. More details will be forthcoming on how it will be distributed.
My work on the film was entirely in post-production. The film required ADR sessions, Foley work, and new mixes from the original audio tracks. I had never tackled something of this scale and most everything I tried here was a learning experience for me. The thing that I came away with here was a reminder of the power of post-production audio on films. Sound is half the experience in film, and thus its importance cannot be overstated in creating the immersive world the storyteller wants to give you.
Below are some examples of the work.
